The primary function of the taxation sub-committee is to provide a forum for discussion on local tax matters of interest to members of the Society.
It also provides a medium for communication between the Society and the local Tax Authority, and any other professional body with related interests. In practice, the committee meets on a quarterly basis and deals with a variety of issues ranging from consultation on behalf of members where new tax law is proposed to dealing with ad-hoc matters arising from interpretation of the law or the practice of the local Tax Office in dealing with certain matters of interest to members of the Society.
